چکیده

Abstract Organic semiconductors (OSC) are widely used for consumer electronic products owing to their attractive properties such as flexibility and low production cost. Atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) another class of emerging materials with superior optical properties. Integrating them into van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures provides an opportunity harness the advantages both material systems. However, building heterojunctions by conventional physical vapor deposition (PVD) OSCs is challenging, since growth disrupted due limited diffusion molecules on TMD surface. Here we report wafer-scale (3-inch) fabrication transferable OSC nanosheets thickness down 15 nm, which enable realization heterojunction devices. By controlled dissolution a poly(acrylic acid) film, films were grown PVD, they can be released transferred onto arbitrary substrates. crystal quality anisotropy preserved during transfer process. transferring (p-type) prefabricated electrodes monolayers (n-type), fabricate characterize various devices including unipolar, ambipolar antiambipolar field-effect transistors. Such vdW p-n open up wide range possible applications ranging from ultrafast photodetectors conformal electronics.

Photovoltaic Effect in an Electrically Tunable van der Waals Heterojunction

Semiconductor heterostructures form the cornerstone of many electronic and optoelectronic devices and are traditionally fabricated using epitaxial growth techniques. More recently, heterostructures have also been obtained by vertical stacking of two-dimensional crystals, such as graphene and related two-dimensional materials. These layered designer materials are held together by van der Waals f...

van der Waals Heterojunction Devices Based on Organohalide Perovskites and Two-Dimensional Materials.

The recently emerged organohalide perovskites (e.g., CH3NH3PbI3) have drawn intense attention for high efficiency solar cells. However, with a considerable solubility in many solvents, these perovskites are not typically compatible with conventional lithography processes for more complicated device fabrications that are important for both fundamental studies and technological applications. Here...

Van der Waals interactions in ionic and semiconductor solids.

van der Waals (vdW) energy corrected density-functional theory [Phys. Rev. Lett. 102, 073005 (2009)] is applied to study the cohesive properties of ionic and semiconductor solids (C, Si, Ge, GaAs, NaCl, and MgO). The required polarizability and dispersion coefficients are calculated using the dielectric function obtained from time-dependent density-functional theory. Coefficients for "atoms in ...
